MagtEat is a fast play competition tabletop board game, structured with strategy and decision making. Play starts with players sending orders to the magnet in both corners.
Everyone begins with one magnet, one round one move, and you can only eat a magnet that has fewer numbers than yours. Each player has 2 different gift cards and they can make the decision when to use them to strengthen themselves or interrupt the opponent's move. At that point, when one player has more magnets, he can start engaging with the opponent and try to eat his magnet and reach the final goal to win the game.
The game also involved dice rolling elements to deepen the game and add levels of complexity to make the player think deeper, plan more.

Each player can move their magnets once in their round
Magnets can only move to a nearby box with fewer magnets (or a smaller number)
Each player has a +3 gift card & a stop 1 round gift card
When this card is used(stop 1 round), the opponent must skip his round
You can use your gift card & move your magnet in the same round
When you get the purple magnet, you add 2 numbers of magnets and MUST roll the dice
Roll a dice to decide whether to add 3 or decline 3 magnets (odd= -3, even= +3)
FINAL GOAL/ Get your opponent's magnet
EXCEPTION* 1 can eat 1 in the first round
DESIGN TOOLS
Abstraction- simple interface (the game is all around magnets & gift card )
Goal- collect the magnet and eat the opponent
Challenge- timing to select & use the gift card
Constraint- the magnet piece is the only limitation on the board
Context of play- board game
Skill & strategy- think about when to use the gift card and where to move to the next step
Uncertainty- you can’t be 100% sure to get good gift cards on the filed
Decision making- When to use the gift card

After the first paper prototype, I refined the game into an online platform using Miro and change it into a simpler rule for another 3 new playtest ending with 3 different results and making it become a fun, playable tabletop online game.
